By the Grace of God, David's second solo album, was released in 1971. The second album which resulted from his partnership with Felix Pappalardi, it featured members of Pappalardi's band Mountain, with the Young Rascals, Kenny Buttry, Vassar Clements, Tommy Jackson and Norbert Putnam.
